“Jadids: Ideas of National Identity, Independence and Statehood”

This event is a collaborative effort organized by the Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of Memory of the Victims of Repressions under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Organisation of Turkic States.

Highlighting the event is an open panel discussion at the Palace of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan on December 12, from 15:00 to 17:00. This panel presents a unique opportunity for an engaging exchange of ideas among foreign and national scholars. We warmly invite young people, independent researchers, and all members of the public with an interest in the Jadid movement to participate in this enriching experience. This conference promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of the Jadids' profound influence on concepts of national identity, independence, and statehood.
